As a European independent international multi-line reinsurer we are submitted to the new European solvency regulation, Solvency II. The group financial analysis and risk modelling team, both based in Zurich, are in charge of developing the internal model for the entire company. It is also in charge of the documentation accompanying the request for validation of the internal model by the French regulators ACP. For this purpose, we are looking for a

Solvency II Publisher/Editor

With us, you are responsible for the publication of our Solvency II documentation. In this function you will follow the instructions of the Head of our Financial Modelling department and define the table of contents of the documentation, organize the various documents already written and commission various experts to write missing parts. In addition you will ensure the consistency of the style and write yourself parts that do not require a precise field expertise. For all this, you will be working together with various employees form different departments (e.g. finance, pricing, reserving etc.) with different cultural backgrounds and you will be part of our global Solvency II project team. The ultimate goal of this documentation is to provide the company with a comprehensive book explaining the various aspects of our internal model and capital management. For this, you will accompany the process until publication of the book which will be in about 1.5 – 2 years. Employment is limited for a maximum of 2 years.

You have, a flair for writing, an excellent command of English as the main working language and you master Latex as a scientific text editor. German is a plus, being fluent in French is a requirement. Furthermore, you have a university degree (Master or free scholarship programs) in the fields of mathematics, finance or risk management and ideally already gained some work experience, e.g. during an internship. This position is based in Zurich and requires excellent analytical capabilities plus the ability to collaborate with various departments and people.
